Lindenwood Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi Project, “Celebrating the Educators in Our Lives,” Selected as 2020-2021 Silver Winner

Despite the challenges of the past year, the Lindenwood chapter of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) displayed excellence in their work. KDP is an International Honor Society in Education founded in 1911 to support and promote fellowship among educators. Their effort to celebrate teachers and teaching earned the Tau Phi chapter a 2020-2021 silver award from KDP International for their project, “Celebrating the Educators in Our Lives.” The chapter received both the 2020-2021 Community Service Chapter Program Award and the 2020-2021 Chapter Program Award for their Literacy Alive! program.

Mercy Invests in Nursing at Lindenwood

Mercy has partnered with Lindenwood University to support the newly proposed nursing program at Lindenwood by committing an initial gift of $250,000. In early September, Lindenwood University’s President Dr. John Porter announced that the University intends to seek approvals for a nursing program beginning in Fall 2024.

Lindenwood Pursues Nursing Program Approval

Lindenwood University President Dr. John Porter announced that the University intends to seek approvals to begin a nursing program in Fall 2024. The program is pending approval from the state, specialized accrediting agencies, Board of Nursing, and the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The proposed program has received approval and endorsement from internal faculty committees and the University’s Board of Trustees.

Strong Enrollment Drives Lindenwood's Future

Lindenwood University begins the Fall 2021 semester on Monday, August 23 with excitement and optimism. The University welcomes 1,183 new students, a 12% increase over last year and the largest new student class since 2014. The 1,183 students join a thriving community of traditional freshmen, transfer, international, and online students.

LindenGiving Stuffs Backpacks for St. Charles Students

LindenGiving, a community outreach endeavor, partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri on Wednesday. Volunteers from across campus gave their time to stuff backpacks with needed school supplies for various St. Charles middle and high school students.
